WordPress development means building on WordPress as a platform: block themes with theme.json, custom plugins, custom post types, REST API integrations, and the performance and security work that separates a professional site from an assembled one.
The goal is always the same — a site that does exactly what the business needs, loads fast, stays secure, and remains maintainable years later by developers who did not write the original code. Modern WordPress provides most of what a business needs natively; custom development fills the gaps deliberately.
Who this is for: Businesses whose websites must be more than a brochure: content platforms, service businesses with complex pages, companies integrating WordPress with other systems.
What you get
- Custom WordPress websites on block themes
- Custom plugins for features WordPress does not provide natively
- Custom post types and taxonomies for structured content
- REST API integrations with external services
- Performance work: caching strategy, asset control, Core Web Vitals
- Hardening: users, updates, backups, monitoring
- Technical SEO foundations: metadata, schema, sitemaps, redirects
Where this helps
A site that fights every content change
When every edit needs a developer, the publishing architecture is wrong. We build structures your team can edit safely — with Gutenberg patterns and reusable blocks instead of fragile layouts.
Slow pages and failing Core Web Vitals
Heavy themes, stacked plugins and unoptimized media add up. We measure first, then remove, defer or replace what costs more than it delivers.
Security treated as a checkbox
A real security posture is boring and continuous: least-privilege users, sane update processes, tested backups and no abandoned plugins. We set it up and keep it maintained.
What the work looks like
- Review the current site, hosting and plugin stack
- Agree the architecture: content model, templates, integrations
- Build the theme and functionality in staging
- Editor training so your team can manage content confidently
- Launch, then measure real-world performance and fix what shows up
What it runs on
WordPress core, Gutenberg, block themes, theme.json, PHP, MySQL, WP-CLI, REST API, WebP and responsive images, Redis.
Questions people ask
Block theme or classic theme?
For a site built today, a block theme is usually the right call: content editing in Gutenberg, styling through theme.json, and no proprietary template layer. The exception is complex legacy requirements — then the trade-off is explained honestly.
Can you migrate an existing site?
Yes — content, users, media and URLs are migrated with redirects planned so established URLs keep their rankings. Nothing changes address without a redirect behind it.
How fast will the site be?
Development targets are LCP under 2.0s, CLS under 0.05 and INP under 200ms on realistic mobile conditions. Results are measured after launch, not assumed.
What about maintenance after launch?
Ongoing support is available — updates, monitoring, small improvements. A system nobody maintains quietly decays; a maintained one stays an asset.
